A Typical Internship

We want our interns to have a big-picture perspective by being involved in the whole process. Even as an audit intern, you work alongside the client, gaining experience on each section of the audit and then completing the process by preparing the client's financial statement and tax return. On the tax team, interns work with clients and their brokers to prepare individual, personal property and some business tax returns as well as handling depreciation. All of our interns work closely with our staff to receive the proper training and practice prior to being involved in an actual situation.

Not A Typical Career

RitzHolman is flexible. After my internship, I didn't have to choose tax or audit; I had the flexibility to figure out what I liked and I've been able to advance based on my ability. The more I progressed, the more I could do what I liked which turned out to be working with nonprofits, educating them as well as providing an audit report. Our firm also helps you maintain balance. I have time to spend with my children. That means a lot to me.
